To the contrary: the first step in making a computer like Watson so smart would be to understand the questions posed in the first place. This seems to be squarely in the realm of philosophical analysis.
We won't be out of business-- we'll just have to learn more PERL and java to do our job.

Ha! Right. I remember job postings at Cycorp, Doug Lenat's AI company, with the title "Blue Collar Philosopher."
