In the next few weeks, Brains will be host to two philosophers who’ve recently published books on interestingly parallel topics:
- First, as I announced previously, Doug Robinson of Hong Kong Baptist University will begin blogging next week on his new MIT Press book, Feeling Extended: Sociality as Extended Body-Becoming-Mind.
- Second, beginning October 14 István Aranyosi of Bilkent University will blog about his new OUP book, The Peripheral Mind: Philosophy of Mind and the Peripheral Nervous System.
Additionally, I’m pleased to say that beginning during the first week of November we will host our second Mind & Language article symposium, on Stephen Butterfill and Ian Apperly’s forthcoming paper “How to Construct a Minimal Theory of Mind”. Commentaries will be provided by Hannes Rakoczy (Göttingen), Shannon Spaulding (Oklahoma State), and Tad Zawidzki (George Washington University). An advance copy of their paper is available here.
