As explained at Leiter Reports, the philosophy department at Leiden University is under some kind of administrative attack.  We might be able to help by emailing the University President.  To encourage you to write, here is the email I sent:

Dear Prof Dr Paul van der Heijden,

I'm writing to express my concern with the proposed merge of the renowned philosophy department at the University of Leiden with other departments, to form a Humanities/Arts department.  Doing this would appear to erase the distinctiveness and independence of the philosophy department, with consequent damage to its ability to train good scholars, do good philosophy, and enhance the reputation of the university.

Sincerely,
Gualtiero Piccinini
