Notice: M.A. Programs in Philosophy at George Washington University

The George Washington University Department of Philosophy has recently launched a terminal M.A. in Philosophy. This new graduate program complements our longstanding and highly successful M.A. in Philosophy and Social Policy.

The GW Department of Philosophy’s pluralist faculty spans both analytic and continental traditions, and the new M.A. in Philosophy will provide ideal preparation for students who intend to go on to philosophy doctoral programs. The MA in Philosophy and Social Policy is a highly interdisciplinary program that offers students focused coursework in philosophy while helping them learn to apply insights from philosophy to problems of public policy.

Every applicant will be considered for a tuition award that will offset the costs of attendance. Applications for Fall 2017 will be considered on a
rolling basis, with financial aid priority given to those received by February 1, 2017. For more information, visit https://philosophy.columbian.gwu.edu/graduate or e-mail Dr. Laura Papish, Director of Graduate Studies, at laurapapish@gwu.edu.
