Important changes to the SPP mailing lists

Colin Allen writes on behalf of the Society for Philosophy and Psychology:

Because of new restrictions on hosting mailing lists on faculty machines at Texas A&M, after two decades of service (thanks to Chris Menzel!) we are shifting the SPP mailing lists to Google groups.

We are keeping the same structure of an “announce” list for official society business and a “misc” list for miscellaneous items of potential interest to SPP members.

To help stop spammers, Google blocks bulk subscription. So…

Please take a moment to go to:

and follow the instructions there to join the groups.

You can also use the settings to determine whether you receive each message as it is sent, or a daily digest.

You will need a Google account, but you don’t have to use a gmail address.  If you wish to use a non-gmail address for the mailing list, you can either associate your non-gmail address with an existing account (https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/176347), or sign up for an account without gmail at https://accounts.google.com/signupwithoutgmail.   (Don’t click where it says “I would like a new Gmail address” unless that’s what you want.)

The old lists will be disabled within the week, so please do this right away!
