Introducing the Brains blog’s new Managing Editors

I am very pleased to announce that Dan Burnston and Nick Byrd have agreed to take over my position as Managing Editors of the Brains blog, effective today. Robert Briscoe and Aaron Henry will remain as Contributing Editors, while Cameron Buckner, Kristina Musholt, and Katrina Sifferd step aside from that role.

Many thanks to everyone for their excellent contributions, and to all the readers of this blog for supporting it over the years. Please watch this space for upcoming announcements about further changes to the blog in the coming academic year. Readers with suggestions for improvement or new directions that the blog might take should feel free to email the new editors directly: dburnsto[at]tulane.edu and nick.a.byrd[at]gmail.com.

With best wishes,
John Schwenkler

  1. I’m thrilled that Brains will continue to humanize and make accessible new ideas in cognitive science and the philosophy thereof. Many thanks to Gualtierro Piccinini for getting this started and John Schwenkler and contributing editors Katrina Sifferd, Kristina Musholt, Cameron Buckner, Robert Briscoe, Aaron Henry, et al. for building the site from there! 👏

Dan and I will do our best to foster to the fantastic Brains community and capitalize on opportunities to enhance its offerings where possible. Stay tuned for the details!

Congrats Nick and Dan, and thanks John for helping channel so much great content, and also answering your contributors’ frantic and ultimately unimportant emails over the years (not that I ever have done such a thing 🙂 ).
