Finally, some Cornell researchers realized John von Neumann’s dream of self-replicating automata. They are relatively simple and need some help in “feeding,” but once fed they are quite proficient. Make sure you look at the video showing how they replicate.
Those are ok. I’ll be impressed, though, when they get autonomous automata to pull that off. Note that the cube-worms in the video need to be mounted in the table sockets to do their fancy tricks.
